The Superna ControlBox wins CE Pro High Impact Products Award

Dec 18, 2007 Superna ControlBox | Linux-Based Controller
In April, when CE Pro editor-at-large Julie Jacobson wrote about Superna, her lead sentence was, “Super who?”

She was driving the point that not a lot of folks were very familiar with the Israeli-based makers of “home-control software for virtually any type of hardware platform—traditional PCs, Media Center PCs, PDA, cell phones or Superna’s own Linux-based boxes.”

Enough integrators are aware now and the company’s ControlBox has earned an Impact award. Gabriel Neuman Bonder of Consultoria e Ingeniera, Mexico City, calls the ControlBox a “magic box.”

He is describing one of the company’s Linux-based controllers that can run automation software.

Neuman Bonder says he’s been using the Superna ControlBox through Media Center and he loves how he can expand a system “that started with some switches” and grow it to “control just about everything you could imagine using many different variables.”

He adds that the scalability allows for continual upgrades.
